New to a Teaching Assistantship? What should you do to prepare? Have a particular challenge in class?

The Division of Graduate Studies recommends consulting the Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning (CITL) for resources and training. CITL offers certificate programs and video training resources.

If you are a new TA, you are required to take the online Canvas course Teaching as an Ethical Practice (“TA Ethics”). Developed by CITL and UCSC Online Education, TA Ethics is available to all TAs as a resource. To be added to the course as a new TA, contact Sonya Newlyn in the Division of Graduate Studies.
