Graduate Student Internship & Job Fair

The Division of Graduate Studies is teaming up with the Career Center to host a graduate-student-only internship and job fair! To prepare, take these steps:

  • Get that resume in shape!

  • Sign up for a 15-minute resume review with the Career Center’s career coaches Christina Hall and Karen Lin on March 6.

  • International graduate students, sign up for immigration and UCSC attorney David Ware’s Hiring Legalities for International Graduate Students, a workshop co-hosted by the Division of Graduate Studies and the Global Engagement Office on March 7.

  • Check out Graduate Horizons for other opportunities to improve your interviewing, presentation, resume-crafting, and other job-search skills at winter workshops.

  • Register to attend!

Businesses and institutions sending representatives to this internship and job fair understand that they may only offer paid internships because of the high quality of applicants they’ll see in a pool of only graduate students. They have also been strongly urged to consider the benefits inherent in the knowledge and experience of graduate students in all programs, including those in the arts, humanities, and social sciences—benefits directly applicable to positions in marketing, communications, human resources, management, and so forth. Businesses and institutions who accept our invitation to send representatives to this fair will be listed here soon.
