Summary of Expertise
Data analysis and reporting. SQL Select Statements and MS Access queries for querying relational databases. Access reports and Data Dynamics Reports (ASP.NET based) for design and reporting.
Graphic Arts, especially 3D digital character art for games and animation.
Biography, Education and Training
Joel began his exciting new career at UCSC in February 2023 as a Systems and Data Analyst for the Division of Graduate Studies. In this capacity he will be assisting with data and reporting requests, developmental projects, and other data-related departmental needs.
He spent 12 years cutting his chops as a Data Communications Specialist in the financial industry.
Joel is a graduate of UCSC (2000), having majored in Art at Porter College. In his spare time, he likes to surf, create 3D character art for games, and spend time with his wife Billie and their two chihuahua/terrier mixes Oliver and Charlie.
