If you’ve ever wondered what you can do with a STEM+ Ph.D. besides the traditional academia or industry tracks, join us for a conversation with Noori Chai, the Teaching and Learning Center’s Education Specialist around STEM Equity. Noori graduated with a Ph.D. in neurosciences from Stanford in the summer of 2020, and, after an arduous tear-filled job search, found a wonderful community at UCSC in November 2020. Chai will share some of the discoveries she made during her job search, in addition to how her Ph.D., focused on neurodegenerative disease genetics, prepared her for the work she’s doing now at the TLC.
