Program Description
This program provides fellowships, through academic departments and programs of Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), to assist graduate students with excellent records who demonstrate financial need and plan to pursue the highest degree available in their course study in a field designated as an area of national need.

Timeline:
Competitions are usually held on an annual basis.
The Department will not hold a competition for FY 2008 grants.
